This easy Baked Mac and Cheese is the perfect comfort food!

Preheat oven to 375F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a pot, melt butter, whisk in flour for 2 minutes. Gradually add and whisk in milk, then seasonings. Cook over medium heat, continuously whisking, until thickened in about 4-5 minutes.

Take off the heat and stir in 4 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt to taste. Add the cheese sauce to the macaroni and stir to coat.

Pour into the pan and top with the remaining shredded cheese. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
