This Bangers and Mash is a wonderful dinner idea for St Patrick’s Day!
Melt butter in a large skillet and add in onions. Cook for 10 minutes or so on medium heat stirring occasionally. Stir in flour and cook for one minute.
Pour in red wine and scrape the bottom. Whisk in broth, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and fresh herbs. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes or until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in sausage and cook for a few minutes on each side.
Serve with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and peas. Enjoy!
