    White Wine Sangria

    I love sangria, especially during the summer. The fresh fruit and citrus mixed with wine is the perfect combination. I like to make my white wine sangria recipe with tons of fresh fruit and not too sweet so it’s not overly sweet and totally sippable all day long.

    And sometimes (OK most times) the simplest recipes are the best. That’s just one more reason to love this White Wine Sangria. This recipe only uses a few ingredients — your favorite white wine (see my recommendations below), your favorite fruit juice (I used mango), peaches, oranges, strawberries and limes. And instead of triple sec, I used brandy and peach schnapps to make this sangria extra fruity!

    This White Wine Sangria should be your favorite summer beverage! Totally customizable with your favorite fruits or preferred sweetness, this drink is perfect for hot afternoons or days spent at the beach. Garnish your drink with fresh mint and a splash or sparkling water at the end for some fizz. You can’t go wrong with this White Wine Sangria recipe!

    White Wine Sangria Ingredients

    • Peaches: Use whatever is seasonal. I’ve used both white or yellow peaches and even nectarines.
    • Orange Slices: Are added to the sangria. You can set some extra on the side to garnish the rims of glasses with.
    • Fruit Juice: Use your favorite fruit juice. You can use store-bought, but opt for pure juice and not concentrate. I used mango juice from Trader Joe’s. You could also use fresh squeeze orange juice or nectarine juice.
    • Lime: Lime slices are also added for color and a burst of citrus flavor.
    • Strawberries: You can’t have sangria without fresh fruit. Use what you have on hand if you don’t have strawberries add blueberries or apples.
    • White Wine: You’ll use a full bottle (750 mL) for this white wine sangria recipe. My recommendations of the best white wine for sangria are below!
    • Liquor: You’ll need 1/4 cup of brandy and 1/4 cup of peach schnapps.

    Best White Wine for Sangria

    I prefer a drier wine like Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. I typically tell people to choose a wine you would normally drink! Pinot Grigio would be a nice option for less sweet, and moscato would be good if you like it more sweet. You could even use Prosecco or Champagne, if you’re feeling fancy!

    How To Make White Wine Sangria

    This White Wine Sangria comes together in just a few simple steps and under 5 minutes! Double or triple for large gatherings or to have on hand for several days!

    • Assemble the Sangria: Add peaches, oranges, limes and strawberries to a large glass pitcher. Pour in wine, juice, brandy and peach schnapps. Stir to combine and let sit for a couple of hours to let the flavors develop then serve and enjoy!
    • Serve: Let the sangria sit for a couple of hours to allow the flavors develop. Serve with slices of lime or oranges on the rims of glasses and Enjoy!

    Variations and Tips

    • Add any fruit you like! I always like to include some type of citrus and some type of fruit, but you can use any fruit / citrus you like. Berries, pineapple, mango, and any other citrus would also be delicious!
    • Add some herbs! Fresh sprigs of mint would look so pretty and taste amazing as a garnish!
    • Swap the white wine for Prosecco or champagne! Just pour it up before serving so the wine doesn’t lose it’s carbonation.
    • Add seltzer right before serving the sangria! Just like the champagne it adds a nice carbonation and stretches the sangria.
    • Double the recipe! I highly recommend doubling this recipe if you are making it for a crowd, party, get together or to just share with friends. Doubling it ensures everyone can have seconds!
    • Let the sangria sit before adjusting the recipe. I like to make this white wine sangria the day before. The longer the sangria sits the sweeter it will get as it picks up the flavors from the fruit.
    • Adjust to taste: If you find your sangria recipe is still not sweet enough for your liking add some agave or make a quick simple syrup. Heat equal parts water and granulated sugar in a small saucepan and cook until the sugar has dissolved. Cool and add it to your sangria. Just make sure to keep adjusting to taste.

    Storage and Freezing Instructions

    • Store the fully assembled White Wine Sangria in a pitcher in your fridge for up to 3 days. Avoid adding any carbonated ingredients until just before serving so it doesn’t lose it’s bubbles.
    • You can freeze sangria to blend later as a slushed drink, turn it into a popsicle, or to thaw and sip later.
