This Teriyaki Sauce is perfect for marinating meat and adding to stir-fries for a no-fuss dinner the whole family will enjoy.

Whisk cornstarch and water in a bowl until smooth. Heat oil in a saucepan, add garlic and ginger, cook for two minutes, stirring often.

Stir in soy sauce, water, brown sugar, vinegar and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer and add in slurry (cornstarch water mixture.)

Simmer. whisking constantly until thickened (1-2 minutes). Watch carefully to prevent burning. The sauce is ready when it coats the back of a spoon.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
