Take your Alfredo up a notch and make this Chicken Shrimp Alfredo! The chicken and shrimp are tossed in a cajun seasoning then pan fried. They get served with the creamy homemade Alfredo sauce and fettuccini noodles! The perfect weeknight dinner!
Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and drizzle with olive oil, set aside.
Add the chicken to a small bowl. Add shrimp to another small bowl. Sprinkle half of the seasonings: (1/4 tsp) paprika, (1/4 tsp) Italian seasoning, (1/8 tsp) salt and (1/8 tsp) pepper onto the chicken and toss to coat. Sprinkle the other half of the seasonings onto the shrimp and toss to coat, set aside.
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet.Add in chicken and sauté for 3-4 minutes or until fully cooked. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the remaining tbsp of oil to the same skillet and add in the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp is fully cooked and no longer translucent. Remove from the pan and set aside with the chicken.
Add in the white wine and deglaze the pan by scraping up the brown bites off the bottom. Simmer for 1-2 minutes then add in the cooked noodles, chicken, shrimp and alfredo sauce to the pan.Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.Serve immediately with fresh chopped parsley and more parmesan cheese! Alfredo Sauce
Add butter to a small saucepan over medium high heat.Add in garlic and cook for 2 minutes or until it starts to get golden brown and fragrant.Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasonings. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes stirring frequently.Take off the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese. Set aside until you are ready to toss with your pasta.
