1packwanton wrappers
Wonton Soup
8cupslow sodium chicken broth
1knobginger, sliced
4cloveswhole garlic cloves, smashed
1tbspsesame oil
3tbspsoy sauce
2tbsprice vinegar
Instructions
Make the broth: Add broth, sliced ginger, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce and rice vinegar to a large pot. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes while you are assembling your wontons.
Make filling: Add ground pork, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and green onions to a large bowl. Stir until everything is combined.
Assemble wontons: Lay out wonton wrappers on a dry work surface. Place 1 tsp of the pork mixture into the center of each wrapper.Using your fingers brush water onto all four sides of the wrapper. (This helps it to stick)
Fold the wonton in half and pinch seem closed, then bring the 2 bottom sides together. I like to wet the two bottom points before touching them together to make sure they stick properly.Repeat with the remaining wontons.
Add the wontons to the soup and cook for 4-5 minutes. Serve immediately with green onions on top for garnish!
