Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies are the brownie-substitute you didn't know you needed in your life! All you need for these delicious brown butter blondie treats is 1 bowl, 1 spatula and 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
Add butter to a medium saucepan and heat over medium heat. Cook butter stirring continuously until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. This takes about 5-7 minutes.
Pour the butter into a large bowl along with both sugars and vanilla. Allow the mixture to cool for a couple of minutes.
Stir in the egg and mix until incorporated.
Fold in the flour, baking soda and salt. Try not to over mix.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Spread batter into the prepared pan and bake for 18-20 minutes. They should look set on the top.
Allow them to cool for at least and hour before slicing.
