Homemade Cranberry Sauce

This homemade cranberry sauce makes for the perfect Thanksgiving or Christmas side dish. A thick, colorful, sweet, delicious fruit reduction that your guests are sure to love.

RINSE CRANBERRIES

Rinse your cranberries thoroughly to remove any dirt and pick through any bad cranberries. Reserve 1/2 cup of cranberries and set aside.

COMBINE INGREDIENTS

In a medium saucepan combine the remaining cranberries, water, orange juice and sugar.

COMBINE INGREDIENTS

Bring to a boil then reduce the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes or until  thickened. Take off of the heat and stir in the orange zest and the 1/2 cup of reserved cranberries.

Allow the cranberry sauce to cool before serving or refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
