Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Try this easy Mashed Sweet Potatoes Recipe! They make the perfect side dish to any meal and would go perfectly on your Thanksgiving table.

COOK POTATOES

Add the diced potatoes to a large pot and cover with water. Sprinkle with salt and bring the water to a boil. Cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes or until fork tender.

MASH POTATOES

Drain really well and add the potatoes back to the pot. Add in butter and mash potatoes. Add in the heavy cream and continue mashing until smooth and lump free. Serve immediately as is or with any of the toppings next two toppings!

GARLIC MASHED POTATOES

After the potatoes have been mashed immediately add in the garlic, parsley and parmesan cheese. Season with pepper to taste garnish with parsley.

CINNAMON NUT TOPPING

Heat walnuts and butter over medium high heat in a  skillet. Toast the nuts for 2-3 minutes stirring constantly. Add in brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Sprinkle on top of mashed sweet potatoes and serve!
