Bacon Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients
8slicesbacon, cooked and diced
4cupsall purpose flour
1/4cupchives, diced (green part only)
1cupshredded sharp cheddar cheese
4tspbaking powder
1tspbaking soda
2tspsugar
2tspsalt
1tsponion powder
2tsp garlic powder
3/4cup(1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, frozen
13/4cups buttermilk
Instructions
In a large bowl combine cooked bacon, flour, chives, cheddar cheese, baking powder, baking soda, salt, onion and garlic powder.
Grate frozen butter using a cheese grater. Stir into the dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and stir until combined. Make sure not to overmix.
Lightly flour countertop and roll out dough into a 1 1/4 inch thick rectangle. Cut out 16 biscuits using a 2 inch biscuit cutter.Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile preheat oven to 450 degrees. Remove the biscuits from the freezer and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm!
