Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal made with old-fashioned oats, fresh apples, and maple syrup, this is the perfect Fall breakfast!
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 apple
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup maple syrup, more or less depending on taste
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk for serving, if desired
Melt butter in a medium saucepan. Add in apples and saute for 3-4 minutes over medium high heat or until the apples start to get tender. Sprinkle in cinnamon.
Add in the oats and water then cook on medium high heat until almost all of the liquid has absorbed and the mixture has thickened, 3-4 minutes.
Stir in maple syrup and vanilla.
Divide the oatmeal between two bowls and serve with milk, if desired.
