Chocolate Mousse

Easy Chocolate Mousse made with only 3 ingredients: chocolate, eggs and heavy cream!

WHIP EGG YOLKS

Add egg yolks to a stand mixer with the whisk attachment. On the highest speed whisk yolks until they thicken and are lighter in color, about 3-4 minutes.

MAKE CREAM

Warm ½ cup heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk a splash of the warm cream into the egg yolks. Add yolks to the saucepan, stirring constantly, and cook until thickened, 2 minutes.

ADD CHOCOLATE

Take off of the heat and stir in chocolate until melted.

WHIP HEAVY CREAM

Add the remaining ½ cup of heavy cream to the stand mixer with the whisk attachment. Whisk until cream forms soft peaks, 2-3 minutes.

REFRIGERATE

Fold the whipped heavy cream into the chocolate mixture. Divide the chocolate mousse between bowls or glasses. Place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set.

Serve with extra whipped cream and shaved chocolate on top. Enjoy!
