These Garlic Knots are soft, fluffy, and seriously packed with garlicky flavor!
Add warm water to the bowl of the stand mixer with the dough hook attachment. Add in yeast and honey. Stir and allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
Add 2 cups of flour, salt, and oil. Mix to combine, 3-4 minutes on low speed. Slowly add remaining 1/2-1 cup of flour or until a smooth ball forms that pulls cleanly away from the sides of the bowl.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rest for 1 hour.
Punch down the dough and transfer it to a lightly floured work surface. Shape the dough into a long log about 16 inches long.
Cut into 16 pieces then roll each piece into a thin rope about 7 inches or so. Tie the rope into a knot and pull the two ends then tuck the ends under themselves.
Place on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel and let rest for another 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400F. In a bowl combine olive oil, garlic and parsley. Brush half of the garlic oil onto each of the garlic knots. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden. Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining garlic oil.
Serve with parmesan cheese if desired and enjoy!!
