Garlic Fried Rice

This Garlic Fried Rice also known as “Sinangag” is a Filipino style fried rice.

FRY GARLIC

Add oil to a skillet and heat over medium high heat. Add in garlic and green onions (white parts only) and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring constantly.

DRAIN MIXTURE

Drain the toasted garlic / onion mixture through a sieve and set aide. Save the oil.

COOK EGGS

To the same pan add 1tbsp of the reserved oil and 1tbsp of butter. Heat over medium high heat and add in the eggs. Scramble the eggs, remove from the pan and set aside.

ADD RICE

Add the remaining oil to the skillet and add in the rice. Toast the rice until it starts to get a little golden brown and warmed through.

ASSEMBLE

Take off of the heat and stir in the cooked eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and green onions.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
