This Garlic Fried Rice also known as “Sinangag” is a Filipino style fried rice. Fluffy toasted rice served with tons of fried garlic and scrambled eggs.
Add oil to a skillet and preheat it over medium heat. Add diced garlic and green onions and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring constantly until they are golden brown.
Drain the toasted garlic and onion mixture through a sieve and set aide. Save the oil for frying the eggs and rice.
Add a tablespoon of the reserved oil back to the pan along with a tablespoon of butter. Reheat the pan over medium heat. Pour in the whisked eggs and scramble them. Set aside.
Add the remaining oil to the skillet and add in the rice. Toast the rice until it starts to get a little golden brown and warmed through.
Turn the heat off, sir in in the cooked eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and green onions.
This fried rice recipe goes well with just about anything! Serve it with grilled chicken, chicken shawarma or teriyaki beef meatballs!
