The Best Blueberry Cottage Cheese Ice Cream Recipe
Did you know that you can easily make ice cream right at home without any equipment? It’s true! This blueberry cottage cheese ice cream is super easy to make with 5 ingredients, a blender and a loaf pan. That’s it!
Plus, if you are one of those people who always has a sweet tooth, this is the perfect healthy treat that will curb your cravings without too much sugar or calories!
Don’t worry, your ice cream won’t taste like cottage cheese! If you are weary of cottage cheese, this recipe will prove you wrong. Once it is blended up with all the other ingredients and swirled with that blueberry goodness, it tastes just as good as normal blueberry ice cream!

Ingredients Needed
- Cottage Cheese: Use a full fat cottage cheese! This will lend the best flavor for your blueberry cottage cheese ice cream.
- Blueberry Jam: To lend the blueberry flavor, use your favorite brand of blueberry jam.
- Honey: For an extra hint of natural sweetness!
- Lemon: To balance out the flavors, you will want to use the lemon juice and zest of a fresh lemon.
- Vanilla: For depth of flavor!
How to Make Blueberry Cottage Cheese Ice Cream
- Combine Ingredients: Add cottage cheese, 2 tbsp blueberry jam, honey, lemon juice and vanilla to a high powered blender.
- Blend: Blend starting on low then working your way up to high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, this will take at least a minute.
- Transfer to Loaf Pan: Transfer the ice cream mixture to a loaf pan and add dollops of the remaining 2 tbsp of jam. Using a knife, swirl in the jam then transfer to the freeze for 4 hours to set.
- Serve: When ready scoop, serve and enjoy!
Tips for Success
- Mix up the flavor! Technically, you can make any flavor of cottage cheese ice cream that you’d like. Simply replace the blueberry jam with any other flavor of jam! Strawberry, raspberry, or peach would all be lovely flavors here.
- Serve your ice cream in a cone, bowl, or as an ice cream sandwich with your favorite cookies!
- Top off the blueberry cottage cheese ice cream with fresh blueberries, whipped cream, and crushed graham crackers if desired.
