- Shrimp: I prefer to use thawed, uncooked shrimp, so that I can sear it nicely in the pan! If you prefer to use already cooked shrimp, add it in the sauce towards the end of the cooking process to avoid overcooking.
- Gnocchi: You can opt for store bought gnocchi, or make homemade leftover mashed potato gnocchi!
- Olive Oil: A bit of olive oil is used to sauté the onion and garlic!
- Heavy Cream & Milk: The combination of heavy cream and milk make the base of this creamy sauce. Heavy cream helps to thicken the sauce up and make it rich!
- Gorgonzola Cheese: The star of the dish! Gorgonzola adds a tangy, savory depth to the sauce.
- Parmesan Cheese: For added salty flavor.
- Salt & Pepper: Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper.

- Sear the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet with 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium high heat. Add in shrimp and saute for 3-4 or until the shrimp is no longer opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté Onions & Garlic: Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the same skillet. Stir in onions and saute for 3-4 minutes or until they start to soften and get some color. Add in garlic and cook for 1-2 additional minutes.
- Make the Sauce: Stir in heavy cream and milk and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 2-3 minutes then stir in the gorgonzola cheese and parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is thickend.
