    The Best Gorgonzola Gnocchi Recipe

This Gorgonzola Gnocchi with Shrimp is the ultimate comfort meal for cheese lovers, and it’s sure to become a favorite in your dinner rotation. The combination of gorgonzola and parmesan cheeses creates a luxurious sauce that coats the gnocchi pasta and shrimp perfectly!

The best part? Everything can be made in one pan in less than 30 minutes. This is an easy meal that is restaurant quality but can easily be made right at home!

    Ingredients Needed

    • Shrimp: I prefer to use thawed, uncooked shrimp, so that I can sear it nicely in the pan! If you prefer to use already cooked shrimp, add it in the sauce towards the end of the cooking process to avoid overcooking.
    • Gnocchi: You can opt for store bought gnocchi, or make homemade leftover mashed potato gnocchi!
    • Olive Oil: A bit of olive oil is used to sauté the onion and garlic!
    • Heavy Cream & Milk: The combination of heavy cream and milk make the base of this creamy sauce. Heavy cream helps to thicken the sauce up and make it rich!
    • Gorgonzola Cheese: The star of the dish! Gorgonzola adds a tangy, savory depth to the sauce.
    • Parmesan Cheese: For added salty flavor.
    • Salt & Pepper: Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper.
    • Chives: If desired, serve with freshly chopped chives on top!

    Tips For Success

    • Don’t overcook the shrimp! Shrimp cooks very fast! Sauté them just until they turn pink and opaque, then remove them to avoid a rubbery texture.
    • Allow the sauce to simmer. For the best results, let the sauce simmer gently after adding the cream, milk, and cheeses to allow the flavors to develop and the sauce to thicken.
    • Adjust the cheese if preferred! This gorgonzola gnocchi with shrimp recipe has an intense flavor due to the gorgonzola cheese. If you prefer a less intense flavor, use half Gorgonzola and half Parmesan for a more subtle, creamy sauce.
