Tips for the Best Dragon Fruit Margarita
- Use fresh lime juice. Freshly squeezed lime juice gives this margarita the best bright, tangy flavor.
- Shake well. Shake the cocktail for at least 30–45 seconds (or until the shaker is icy cold) to chill the drink and blend the ingredients.
- Use quality tequila. A good blanco tequila makes a noticeable difference in the flavor of the finished cocktail.
- Rim the glass. If you’re feeling fancy add a salted rim, Tajín, or a mix of salt and sugar.
- Make it frozen. Blend all of the ingredients with some ice to make a frozen margarita!
Ingredients for Dragon Fruit Margaritas

- Tequila Blanco: Blanco (silver) tequila has a clean, crisp flavor that works best in this margarita. Use a good-quality tequila for the best taste.
- Fresh Limes: Freshly squeezed lime juice makes a huge difference. Skip the bottled juice for the brightest, freshest flavor.
- Frozen Dragon Fruit: Frozen dragon fruit gives the margarita its beautiful pink color and helps keep the drink cold.
- Water: We always add a splash of water to margaritas to help balance the sweetness and the tartness!
- Agave Syrup: Agave adds just the right amount of sweetness. Adjust the amount to suit your taste.
- Ice: Fill the cocktail shaker with plenty of ice to chill the drink quickly. Serve over fresh crushed or cubed ice for the best texture.
- Optional Garnish: Edible flowers, a lime wheel, or a slice of dragon fruit make a beautiful finishing touch.
How to Make a Dragon Fruit Margarita

- Pour over ice and serve with edible flowers for garnish!
