    If you have never had an acai bowl, they feature frozen acai puree mixed with other fresh fruits to make a smoothie! You can technically drink the mixture as a smoothie, but it is fun to top them off with toppings for the perfect breakfast!

    • Frozen Acai Packets: The easiest way to make these acai bowls is using frozen acai packets!
    • Mixed Berries: I used frozen mixed berries here. You can use any berries you’d like!
    • Banana: Adding a banana will thicken things up and add some extra sweetness!
    • Honey: Honey is great as a natural sweetener. If you prefer, you can use maple syrup or agave syrup!
    • Nut Milk: Use whichever nut milk you like best, or add regular milk if you prefer! You can opt for a different liquid like a splash of coconut water, too!
    • Toppings: The fun thing about homemade acai bowls is all of the toppings! I recommend topping them with a variety of fruits and crunchy toppings. Some of my favorites are granola, fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, bananas and coconut flakes!

    • Use frozen fruits! To keep the thick consistency, frozen fruits are best. If you use fresh berries, you might want to add a few ice cubes to the mix to keep it cold and thick!
    • Use the liquid sparingly! Be careful when adding the liquid, and don’t add too much too quick. I used about 1/4 cup, but you can start with a little less and add more as you go!
    • Add extra flavors! Your acai smoothie bowl should be made exactly how you like it. You can add different flavors like nut butters, mango instead of banana, or even a splash of vanilla extract for a depth of flavor!
