    The Best Watermelon Smoothie Recipe

If you ask me, a watermelon smoothie is the ultimate quintessential summer drink! It offers the perfect blend of sweetness, freshness, and hydration.

This smoothie is perfect for when you have watermelon in the fridge that needs to be eaten! I make this often during the summer, when watermelon is in season and it is extra bright, juicy and sweet. Before the summer ends, I recommend freezing some watermelon to have these watermelon smoothies into fall!

This fruit smoothie recipe is easy to make and the ingredients are super versatile. You can enjoy it as a quick breakfast, a refreshing snack, or a hydrating post-workout drink! The whole family will love these delicious watermelon strawberry smoothies!

    Ingredients Needed

    • Watermelon: It is best to use seedless watermelon if possible! Or, try to remove the largest seeds before blending.
    • Strawberries: I used frozen strawberries here. You can also use fresh strawberries, but you might want to add some ice cubes as well in that case!
    • Greek Yogurt: Add some plain Greek yogurt to add protein and a bit of creaminess!
    • Nut Milk: I like to add a nut milk here for the liquid. I used cashew milk, but you can really use any milk that you have on hand!

How to Make this watermelon smoothie

    1. Blend: Add all of the ingredients to a blender. Pulse for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

    Recipe Variations

    • Add extra fruits! This watermelon strawberry smoothie can be mixed with some extra fruits like mango or pineapple!
    • Make it vegan! Make this smoothie recipe into a vegan treat by replacing the Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt. Or, you can omit the yogurt completely and add some coconut water instead for extra hydration!
    • Add some herbs! The refreshing taste of watermelon goes perfectly with herbs like mint and basil. Of course, adding in some green herbs will change the color here, but the flavor will be delicious!
