The Best Air Fryer Salmon Bites Recipe
Salmon is definitely one of the best proteins to make in the air fryer! Just like my air fryer salmon, these air fryer salmon bites get perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, thanks to the magic of the air fryer. These literally melt in your mouth!
Since you are dicing up the salmon into small pieces, it cooks quickly, meaning you can make an easy meal with these salmon bites in less than 20 minutes! They make a great meal prep option since they are healthy and protein-packed!
You can really season up your air fryer salmon bites however you’d like. I went with an Asian-inspired marinade of soy sauce, honey, garlic, and sriracha. But you can make them neutral with garlic, salt and pepper to pair with literally anything!
Ingredients Needed
- Salmon: Dice the salmon into bite sized pieces!
- Soy Sauce: I used low sodium soy sauce, but you can use regular if you prefer!
- Sesame Oil: Adds a touch of nutty flavor!
- Honey: To balance out the flavors and get a nice caramelized layer on the outside.
- Garlic: Fresh garlic will add a depth of savory flavor!
- Sriracha: For a hint of spice! If you are sensitive to spice, just add a little bit to start.
- Sesame Seeds: To garnish!
How to Make air fryer salmon bites
- Make the Marinade: Add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and sriracha to a large bowl. Whisk to combine. Reserve 2 tbsp of the sauce and set aside.
- Add Salmon: Add the salmon to the large bowl and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees. Grease the insert with nonstick cooking spray. Add in the salmon and cook for 8 minutes (no need to flip halfway).
- Cover in Sauce: Spoon the reserved sauce on the salmon bites and sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use frozen salmon?
If your salmon is frozen, it is best to allow it to thaw first before cooking it in the air fryer. You can allow it to thaw overnight in the refrigerator or, place the salmon in a bowl of cold water and switch out the water with fresh cold water every 30 minutes until thawed. Make sure to use cold water so the fish doesn’t come to room temperature.
How should I store leftover salmon bites?
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days! You can reheat them in the microwave or in the air fryer to keep them crispy!
