Ingredients

  • Butter: You can use either unsalted or salted butter in this!
  • Graham Cracker Crumbs: Add a nice crunch and holds the bars together.
  • Peanut Butter: I use creamy peanut butter in the bars and chocolate layer. I have not tried making this with other nut butters.
  • Powdered Sugar: Adds a nice sweetness to the bars.
  • Chocolate Chips: I use semi sweet chocolate chips however you can substitute dark chocolate if you prefer!

How to make Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

Simply combine the butter, graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13 pan. In a separate bowl combine melted chocolate and peanut butter. Spread the chocolate peanut butter mixture on top of the bars. Place in the fridge for at least an hour to firm up. Then cut into squares. Serve these with a tall glass of milk and enjoy!

For a salty twist top with crumbled pretzels or peanuts. I store these bars in the fridge. They are so good cold they taste just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup! The bars can even be frozen for up to 3 months! Enjoy!

Once they are cut, do they new to stay in the fridge or can i leave them out on a plate?

  • Hi Jenny,

It depends on how long you are keeping them out and if they will be inside. Leftovers should be stored in the fridge and as long as they are in a cool place inside or over ice they should be fine for a party.

    Thanks!

Did you add the graham crackers to the peanut butter, sugar and butter OR just to the butter as a graham cracker crust?

Because it would be mushy I you were trying to use it as a crust. It gets mixed in with the peanut butter, powder sugar & peanut butter as the bottom layer then topped with chocolate mixture. ?

  • Sharon

I just made these and my bottI’m layer wawas way too liquidy. I’m thinking way to much butter to make a crust?
Trying to top with chocolate was impossible as it all folded in together 🙁
