I always try to incorporate some type of whole grain when making breakfast. Whether I am serving eggs with a slice of whole wheat toast or adding oats to my smoothie! The more balanced your breakfast is the better you will feel!
  • Vegetables / Fruit: It’s hard to get your five a day and breakfast is a great opportunity to incorporate vegetables AND fruit into your diet. Smoothies are a great way to sneak in greens as well as fruit. I always like to serve sautéed peppers or spinach with my scrambled eggs. These veggies add up and set the tone for the day!
  • Protein: Eggs, nuts and seeds are all great protein sources to incorporate with you daily breakfast. Protein during breakfast is so important because it helps to keep you full!
