Before you get started / Kelley’s tips

  • Prep Before You Start: This recipe moves fast, so have all your ingredients chopped, measured, and ready to toss in. It’ll make the cooking process a breeze.
  • Don’t Overcook the Zucchini: Keep an eye on your veggies. You want them tender but still slightly crisp for the best texture.

    Ingredients

    • Zucchini: Tender and slightly sweet, it soaks up all the savory flavors of the sauce.
    • Onion: Adds a subtle sweetness and depth of flavor.
    • Garlic & Ginger: Give this stir fry so much flavor! I never do a stir fry without loads of fresh garlic and ginger!
    • Sesame Oil: Adds a hint of nuttiness to the sauce.
    • Honey: Balances out the savory and tangy elements.
    • Soy Sauce: Adds the perfect umami punch. I like to use low sodium soy sauce to be able to control the saltiness.
    • Rice Wine Vinegar: Gives the sauce some acidity and a hint of sweetness. Rice wine vinegar can be found in the international / asian section in the grocery store.
    • Hoisin Sauce: Sweet, salty, and rich, it gives the sauce its signature depth and glossy texture.
